The holder of a permanent resident permit is still a foreigner, instead of a citizen of the country of residence, and foreigners have no “citizenship” in the country.
Generally speaking, foreigners who have obtained permanent resident permits can enter and exit China with valid passports and permanent residence permits, and they do not need to go through additional visa procedures; Their spouses and immediate family members can apply for corresponding visas, residence permits, or permanent residence ID cards for foreigners according to relevant regulations.
